The new corporate structure reflects the considerable expansion of the Company's capabilities that has accompanied the establishment of Lexxicorp Pty., Ltd. (www.lexxicorp.com), a Sydney-based affiliated that specializes in multilingual Web applications. Employing a talented team led by IT Manager Craig Dunn, Lexxicorp has been responsible for the development of Study-Now (www.study-now.com), a highly innovative system for learning English, and Qwik-Trans (www.qwik-trans.com), a translation service that offers unprecedented speed, convenience and cost savings for clients (scheduled for release in October 2003). Using the experience it gained in developing these sites, Lexxicorp has developed a number of tools for Web localization. Combined with the languages expertise of Trans-Asia, the two companies are together able to offer an extremely competitive service for clients seeking multilingual business solutions.
A brief description of Trans-Asia's four new business areas is as follows:
- Translation Services - A comprehensive set of languages services including translation, interpretation, editing, writing, desktop publishing and printing.
- Qwik-Trans - A unique online system for booking, tracking and managing translation and editing jobs.
- Corporate Training - Led by Study-Now, an innovative system for learning English, but also including seminars in cross-cultural and business skills.
- Multilingual Web Development - Including Website localization and multilingual Web development, with services ranging from text translation and multimedia production to coding and testing.
According to Trans-Asia CEO James M. Pach, the creation of the four business areas lends clarity and focus to the Company's operations, although he noted that the areas are highly complementary and are designed to fit together in a single comprehensive language solution for companies doing business internationally: "In fact, we've had the ability to provide these products and services for quite some time. But by clearly defining four specific language solutions, we believe that clients will better be able to identify the benefits of our services." These benefits include advantages in the form of cost savings and convenience, through which Trans-Asia believes that it will be able to forge closer relationships with its clients.
Trans-Asia's Tokyo-based sales team has already begun visiting new and existing clients to explain the advantages of the new structure.
